Distance learning and classrooms
Distance learning is concerned with subjects like pedagogy and andragogy. These subjects require field trips. A lot of students, both from the nation and abroad apply for these courses. Thus it is not always possible for students to come over and attend field trips, especially the ones who live abroad and are pursuing the course online. For them the course is sent through the net; all the relevant details that are necessary for pursuing the course. This is called distant learning; where you need not be there, present at the place of study, yet you can acquire all the relevant details. This is a very efficient method that is employed by professionals throughout the world for a cost convenient program.
There are also certain training systems that employ the method of remote classroom training. This is employed by the distant learning systems. You do not have to be physically present in these classrooms. Telecommuters are the ones who normally take up such a course. This saves a lot of costing as you do not need to travel a lot to attend your classes and everything is available at your home on the net or on the computer itself if you are using CDs.
Distance learning merging with traditional classroom training
Most of working professionals are resorting to distance learning options because of the conveniences it offers. It saves a lot of travel time and cost. However, distance learning education has changed a lot from the past. It has become much more interactive.
A new format has come up which has all the benefits that traditional classroom training offers and combines technology with it which makes it possible to have students at multiple locations and still attend a class. Remote classroom instruction allows the students to attend the class at a specified time, from their preferred location. Here, the instructor is not at the same location as the students but the class is instructor led. Students can see computer screen of the instructor, they can ask questions and also participate in the discussions just like traditional classrooms. Similarly, the instructor can provide assistance and guidance to students as the former can see their computer screens. These classrooms can have a group of students who can take the class together.
Whether you want IT skills, business related topics or computers; you can choose this format for you training. This does not require you to travel and once can attend remote instruction classroom training from a computer at one’s home or office
